Moncks Corner Miracle League and It Takes a Village to Educate a Child teamed together and offered a summer camp called All Star “Backyard Games” Camp for children with “Different Abilities”. This three hour camp was great for the children with special needs. They offered different games for all levels, music, exercise and arts/crafts. The children were paired with middle and high school volunteers. It is great to see children of all abilities come together and have fun. Our camper was so excited to come every day. When her feet hit the floor she wanted to know if it was time for camp. She has told everybody around about her camp. Our family and other families are so fortunate to have such a good support system in our county. We are looking forward to other wonderful things offered by these groups. Our motto has always been “See the Able Not the Label” now we will add “It Takes a Village to Educate a Child”.
