TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS:
Approximately 70% of individuals experience loneliness and social isolation. Learn how to socialize and engage with your peers in a natural environment. We organize fun, engaging trips to restaurants, movie theatres, art galleries, gaming events, the arcade, etc. to help you or your loved ones connect with like minded people who share similar interests and want to have FUN!
Respite & support
PARENTS & CAREGIVERS:
100 Villagers Who Care is a membership group within TAVTEC, dedicated to empowering families of individuals with special needs. Our goal is to provide respite (relief) and support to parents and caregivers. We aim to alleviate financial strains, social isolation and stress. Join us at our retreat where you'll have an opportunity to replenish, network and learn strategies to help your family reach their potential.
CAREER PREPAREDNESS
TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS:
TAVTEC is committed to helping teens and young adults with autism acquire the communication and soft skills to enable them to secure meaningful employment, independence and a healthy self-esteem. Access to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workforce are critical for individuals with a disability, yet only 10-15% are gainfully employed. Appropriate social behaviors and communication skills are essential components to career success!
summer camp
ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Summer Camp for elementary and middle school children with disabilities. Enjoy old school backyard games. Activities include: social skills, sports, games, art, music and more.
